Instilling good oral health habits when your child is young is something you don’t get a second chance at. At Hazelwood Dental Practice, we love engaging with children and helping them find interest and motivation to look after their teeth independently when the time comes. We will go above and beyond to help educate your child and support parents who need some guidance on how to maintain good brushing and dietary habits at home.
Prevention from a young age: Part of preventing dental decay (the number one threat to children’s teeth) is to bring your child in for check-ups. This should be consistent every 6 months, alongside daily brushing.
The threat of decay (is more severe than you think): Shockingly, tooth decay is the top reason why 4 to 9-year-olds are admitted to hospitals for tooth extractions. This is something that saddens us, and we’ll do everything we can to help your child avoid being in this situation.
