Before you even visit Hazelwood Dental Practice, you have the reassurance of knowing you will be treated by one of our highly skilled dental surgeons, together with a dental nurse, in a relaxed, professional and caring environment with the latest technology.
We initially invite you to come for a new patient assessment. This is normally at least a 30-minute consultation appointment with one of our dentists and is a two-way process, allowing plenty of time for you to address your dental concerns and talk about how we can help you. At the first appointment, you will be asked to complete a medical history form. This helps ensure that before your dentist examines your mouth, they are aware of any important medical factors that could affect your treatment.
The dentist will then conduct a gentle, extensive examination of your teeth, gums, and soft tissues, including cancer screening and any clinically necessary photographs. Based on this and your concerns, we will conduct a treatment planning and radiograph (X-ray) session. All of this gives us an accurate picture of your oral health and allows us to discuss the examination, findings, and all possible treatment options with you, including treatment costs.
